All admins and managers user roles, excluding financial managers and enquiry admins, will be able to send in-app instant messaging

How to compose a new message

  • Login to your web portal and head over to the menu in the blue column located on the left hand side of the screen

  • Under the Communicate session, click on Messages

  • This will lead you to our new centralised in-app messaging centre

  • Click on the ''New message'' button to start drafting a new message

  • Include your recipient or recipients or even select an existing team

  • Give a title to your message and then start typing your content, you have up to 1,000 characters for your message

  • You can then either save the message as a draft or send it right away

  • The in-app messaging is also available from your schedule page, all you need to do is click on the name of the carer and in the dropdown menu you will find the option to send a message

Both drafts and sent messages can be seen via in the in-app messaging centre

For each message, you will also be able to see if it was sent, received, acknowledged or unacknowledged by the carer.

Please note that this is one way communication system, carers won't be able to reply to these messages.

How carers can acknowledge your message

Carers need to have internet connection to receive these messages. If they don't have internet connection or the internet connection in their area is poor, the messages will be received once the connection is re-established.

  • The carer will need to login to their app

  • Once logged in, they will be able to see a notification that they have unread messages

  • Together with the notification, they can always access their messages via the side menu

  • By clicking on the notification, they will access their inbox with the unread message

  • Once read, the carers are prompted to acknowledge the message and they then have the option to delete the message if they want to

  • Please note that even if the carer deletes the message from the app, this will remain visible to you in the web portal

  • Once they have read and acknowledged their messages, they will be all caught up, with a beautiful and calming Finnish forest showing up in their screen 🌲πŸͺ¨
