Keeping track of visit overruns
We know how busy and chaotic homecare schedules can be, and keeping track of running times shouldn't add to your worries. To give you better visibility and support your teams out on the road, we’ve added two fantastic new updates to help you spot visit overruns effortlessly!
Reminding carers to check out
We want to make sure your carers never forget to log their hard work! Our new mobile app setting sends a friendly push notification to carers if a visit runs 15 minutes past its planned duration without a check-out.
For example, if a visit is scheduled for 30 minutes but reaches the 45-minute mark, we’ll send a quick reminder to their phone just to make sure they check out from that visit.
How to turn it on: Head over to Carers > Mobile app > General > Push notifications for visit overruns.
Carers must have their push notifications enabled in the Nursebuddy for Carers app to receive these reminders
We're turning this on for everyone automatically so you can start benefiting straight away!
Smart filters for your Visit List Report
Want to see exactly which visits went a little over time? We’ve added two new filters to your Visit List Report so you can scan your data in seconds:
Reported duration BELOW overrun threshold: Will show you all the visits in a time frame that are below the threshold
Reported duration ABOVE overrun threshold: Will show you all the visits in a time frame that are above the threshold
Customise your thresholds
Every care company is unique, so you can tailor these filters to suit your needs! When you select either of these filters, a handy drop-down menu will appear so you can choose your own threshold window (like 5 minutes or 30 minutes).
If you choose Filter Below overrun threshold and set your threshold to 15 minutes, your report will show all visits that were completed with up to 15 minutes after the planned duration.
If you choose Filter Above overrun threshold with that same 15 minutes threshold selected, your report will only display the visits that went over the planned duration by more than 15 minutes.
By default the overrun threshold will be selected at 15 minutes to align with the carer's mobile app reminder but you can select other thresholds from the drop down menu
This is a great way to quickly gather evidence for inspectors, local councils, or families without sorting through endless rows of data!
