As part of our efforts to increase data security and to be compliant to the latest regulations to manage data securely, we have introduced the option to add a second factor to your login.

Step 1. Download an Authenticator app

In your mobile phone app store, download a Authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc

Step 2. Go to My Account Security in Nursebuddy

Login to your Nursebuddy account as normal and navigate to Settings, you will now find a new section called My Account Security:

Step 3. Enable TFA

Step 4. Add your Nursebuddy account in your Authenticator app

Open your Authenticator app in your phone and click add or + to scan the QR code

Two Factor Authentication

And proceed to scan the code from Nursebuddy.

Step 5. Enter the code from your authenticator app in Nursebuddy

Once you scanned the code, the app will give you a code for your Nursebuddy account that you need to enter in the step #2 of the TFA setting in Nursebuddy, then click Activate.

In your authenticator app, each code generated has a limited time to be used. Make sure you are using one that is valid.

Your account now will require an additional code that you need to get from your authenticator app every time you login to your Nursebuddy app.

If you want to disable the TFA, you need to login to your account, go to Settings>My user account security> Two-factor authentication and click in Disable.

If you lose your phone device and you don't have access to your authenticator app you will need to contact Nursebuddy Customer Support so we can help you to gain access to your account.
