Learn how to move old versions of medication or medicines that have been re-prescribed back into your client's active list.

Written by Rocio Solis

You can easily renew a past medication that a GP has prescribed again. This is a simple, effective way to bring a medication back to the active list without having to set up a brand new one.

  1. Go to the client's profile, select the Medication tab, and click into the Past Medicine list.

  2. Find the specific medicine you want to renew and click the ⋮ (3 dots) at the end of its row and click on ''Renew''

3. Check for updates: The system will let you know if a newer version of the medicine is available in the Medicine Database. You can choose whatever to keep the current medicine details or use the latest version.

  • If you want to use the newer version, click on ''Use latest version''

  • If you still want to renew the past version, click 'Use current version''

  • Select the date when this medication will be active again.

  • Make any changes to the information (dosages, rates, additional instructions, etc.) if required.

  • Click 'Add medication'.

The medication will now appear in the Active Medicine list, ready for your team to administer.
