Nursebuddy has added two new options that will allow you to decide the level of flexibility that carers will have when completing visits.
If you decide to apply any of these settings, please let your carers know. This will allow you to put in place these new policies in your company and make sure it won't cause any confusion for the carers.
1- All the tasks are required to be marked as completed in order to end a visit
Carers will be required to make sure that all the tasks are marked as completed (including visit notes and medication administration) in order to be able to end a visit. Until all the tasks are marked as "completed", carers won't be able to complete their visits.
To enable this option, go to Settings> Carers >Mobile App: Visits and tick this box:
If there are uncompleted tasks or missing visit notes, the app will prompt them to go back and continue completing the remaining tasks before to check out.
You will be able to see if carers have edited their notes
If carers edit the visit later on and edited their visit notes, you can come back to the Change Log of the visit and see when they wrote the notes and edited the visit:
At the moment, only visit notes changes will be shown in the Change Log.
2-Carers cannot edit visits after completing them
As an extra layer of safeguarding and with the aim to enforce carers to complete all their tasks and notes at the moment of ending a visit, managers can decide if carers cannot edit their visits after the check out.
This is a safeguarding measure you can enable in order to comply with your government and local authorities' regulations.
To enable this setting, go to Settings> Carers > Mobile App: Visits and make sure this option is unticked:
Once the option to edit visits is disabled, carers won't see the Edit button in their completed visits:
In order to apply any of these two options with immediate effect, carers have to do a manual logout. They can safely do a manual logout as long as they don't have any ongoing visits. If they do a manual logout while having ongoing visits, visit notes and task information entered so far may be lost.
