To help carers during their visits, we have now introduced skin checks with body maps, so that they can easily record skin issues and any other skin concerns instantly.
How to add a skin check task to a visit
We have two options for you to decide:
1- You can use our default task called Skin check that has a logo of a body map or
2-You can create your own default Skin check task and add the action called Body map
Using the default task
1. As an admin, login to the web portal and head to General Settings > Tasks
2. You will find the 'Skin Check' task in your list which already includes the body map action
Using a custom tasks
As an admin, login to the web portal and head to General Settings > Tasks > Add new task
Name your new task 'Skin Check' and from the dropdown box, select the option ''Body Map'' and Save
3. Add the task to the relevant visit/s for the service users either from the service's users calendar or from the schedule page.
Please note: if this task is added by default to visits via the web portal, carers cannot skip this task even if they don't need to add a body map during their visit.
Our advice would be that you allow your carers to add tasks during visits so they can add this additional task for themselves only when needed.
In your web portal, under Settings > Carers > Mobile app > Visits, make sure you tick the option ''Carers can add additional task(s) to visit''.
How the carers can use the new task during their visits
The carer will login to the app and check-in for the visit as usual
Under the list of tasks for the visit, they will now be able to see the task 'Skin Check' with the option to add a body map
Once they press on the button ''Add body map'', they will be able to record where the problem is and any relevant notes
4. They can then complete all the other tasks as usual and check out from the visit once they are done
5. The carers will be able to see the reported tasks for the visits from their calendar and from the service users' diary
How managers can find body maps submitted by carers in the web portal view
Managers can find the body maps in several places in the web portal:
From the client's dairy
By clicking on ''View body map'' managers can see what was reported during the visit
2. From the client's task history
3. Managers can also check that the ''Skin Check'' task was completed using body map by hovering their mouse on the completed visit on the Schedule page
4. In the Visit-list report > Detailed visit report, managers will also be able to see the reported task actions for a completed visit
