NurseBuddy still works when carers are in out-of-coverage areas.
Follow the steps below to ensure a seamless app experience:
Before the carers visit they should open the app while still on data or wifi to load their visits for the day.
They can continue to use the app as normal for up to 24 hours without an internet connection.
Any updates made by the carer in the mobile app when there is no network access will be sent to the manager UI when the carer connects to the internet again.
When offline the mobile app will show up a message stating there is not Internet connection. If the area where the carer is working has very poor connection, it is advised for the carer to let know their manager in case something has been changed in the last minute. Also it is always advisable to send a SMS to the carer if a change in their roster was done so they are aware of it and try to look for a better connection area (Managers can use the SMS system built in for this purpose)
Please note, no GPS location will be tracked if carers are working offline.
