The Notifications Centre alerts you about various aspects of your Nursebuddy account. You can access your Notifications from the bell button on the top right corner of the screen.
If there is an orange dot next to the bell, that means you have new notifications.
You can select a type of notification from the boxes at the top of the page. The numbers denote how many notifications you have to view.
The system will alert you about the following activities or actions:
eMAR Alerts: Missed medications, Not Given medications, Multiple Doses given
Late Visits: Carers who haven't started a visit within late notification threshold time
Expiring compliances: You will get a notification before the expiration date of the carers' compliances
Secure Visit: Carers checking in or out outside the accepted area, a missing location and QR codes not read, if this option is enabled.
Carer Activity: Will alert you about pinned notes added by carers, visits created or cancelled by carers (if they are allowed to do it)
Manager Activity: When managers create notes for clients or carers in the manager notes tab, or when managers add a pinned note for a client
Upcoming Reviews: Alerts for care plans and risk assessments upcoming review dates
Family Portal: An alert will be generated when a contact adds a note in the diary (if this is enabled in General settings)
Incident Reports: When carers submit an incident report from the app, or managers add an incident report from the web portal.
If you scroll down you will see the list of notifications. You can also filter on these further by clicking in the "Types" box:
Click "View" next to any notification to view it. Once viewed, you can select the notifications one by one using the tick boxes (or use the tick box at the top to select all on the screen), then click the "Delete selected" button to remove the notifications:
How to set up your notifications:
For most of your notifications go to General Settings>Notifications
Select how in advance you want to be notified about Care Plan reviews or Care Compliances expiring
*For Risk Assessment by default you will get a notification 7 days before the review date.
For eMAR Notifications please contact Support to ask these to be activated
The maximum number of notifications visible in the Notification Centre is 1000. If you think you have more than 1000 notifications, you would need to delete some of the recent ones so the older notifications can show up.
Best Practices to be kept your Notification Centre up to date
When setting up your Nursebuddy account, make sure that the Notification settings are properly set
Set apart at least 3 times per week to review notifications, and assign the task to one person in your company
Prepare a protocol to follow for notifications like Late visits, Incident Reports, Family messages and Missed medications and include in this protocol what you should do after acknowledging that information. This type of protocols and records will help you greatly during inspections
Once a notification is acknowledged and an action is taken, delete it from the notification centre to avoid a buildup of old notifications that may hide other important notifications (system shows a maximum of 1000).
Make sure that only one or maximum 2 people from the office are in authorised to delete notifications from the notification centre and that these persons are aware of their responsibility.
Select in the settings the option to receive a weekly report of active notifications. This will help to keep track of all the notifications that still require an action from you
Use the Team filter on the left hand side of your screen to show notification for one team at the time if you have multiple teams in your account.ย
