To change your medication settings, click "Settings" on the menu pane and click "Medications".

Medicine Database

To start adding medicines for your clients, you need to fill out your "Medicine database" (first tab visible). You have a choice of "active", "inactive" and "entered in error" lists.

To add a medicine, click "Add medicine button"

Enter the details and click "Create". You can change the status of any medicine by clicking on it in the list and changing the status in the drop-down - the medicine will then move to the corresponding list.

Medication reason codes

When a carer reports a medicine as Not Given the app will ask to select one reason. By default Nursebuddy has added 7 reasons but you can add more depends on your company's needs. In the image below, the reasons 8 and 9 were additional to the default.

If you want that any prompted medication be recorded in the eMAR, the task Medication Administration is the one that needs to be added. Carers will select the option Not Given and next select the reason Prompted.

Time of day labels

You can name the times that doses are administered for eMAR, for example Morning can be called Breakfast, or Night can be called Bed time, etc.

Fill the name in the corresponding field and click "Save" when done.

You can choose here which fields will be visible on the medication list and the printouts.
