Adding and Assigning Medications
Add the Medication to the System Settings:
Navigate to the Medication settings in Nursebuddy.
Add the medication, ensuring the correct strength and details are included.
If the medication is not found in the database, it must be added there first before proceeding.
Assign the Medication to the Client:
Assign the medication to the relevant client, specifying the appropriate start date.
This step ensures the medication is linked to the client’s profile and can be scheduled for visits. How to Enable eMAR Reporting
To make this functionality available to your care team:
You must add the "Medication Administration" task to your client's visits in the client's calendar.
Doing this enables the eMAR functionality in the mobile app, allowing carers to report which medications were taken during the visit.
Ensure that the medication has been added to the system settings and assigned to the client before adding the "Medication Administration" task to visits.
eMAR Reporting in the Carer App
Once the "Medication Administration" task is added, the reporting is simple and effective:
Given: Carers will be able to tick off when they've administered a medication, and that time stamp will be automatically reflected on the system. Any given medication shows up in green by default.
Not Given: If medication wasn't given during the visit, carers are prompted to give a reason. This information feeds back to your eMAR reports as part of the client profile. A number in the circle indicates the reason why medication wasn't administered, the number corresponds to a customisable reason code that explains why the medication wasn't given. Any not given medication shows up in red by default.
Missed: Shows up in red, indicating the medication was not marked as either given or not given.
PRN: PRN medication can be found in a separate section just below the main medication list.
Your client's eMAR report is designed to be very clear and easy to understand. It can also be downloaded for office use.
