Body Maps for Medication

A visual placement tool for topical medication

Some medications require the carer to apply them directly to the client's the body. Medications such as creams or bandages often require visual instructions so carers can apply them in exactly the right spot. You now have the option to add a Body Map to the medication instructions.

Adding Body Maps to a medication

For new medications

  1. In the Medication Tab from Actions select Add Medicine

  2. Select the medication name

  3. Fill in all the medication info: start date, dosage instructions, rate, time labels, etc

  4. Click + Add Body Map

  5. Using your cursor select where to place the area of application

  6. Add the instructions for the area

  7. Click Apply and then click Save

If you don't see the option to +Add Body Map after following the steps, you might need to clean the cache in your browser: CTRL + F5 or CTRL + R in Nursebuddy page OR, try by logging out and logging back in

For Existing Medication

  1. In the Medication tab, click the 3 dots at the end of the medication in the list

  2. Select Edit Medicine

  3. Select the option Edit to Make a Correction

  4. Click + Body Map

  5. Follow the same steps above to add the body maps

  6. Click Apply and then, Save

Edit Body Maps

  1. In the Medication tab, select the medicine that contains a body map that needs to be edited

  2. Click in the 3 dots and select Edit Medicine

  3. Select Edit to Make a Correction

  4. Select Edit Body Map

  5. Change or edit the areas of the body map and the notes if needed

  6. Click Apply and then, Save
